About Bryce VanHoosen
Portland, OR native Bryce R. VanHoosen started playing guitar in 2004 – around the same time he started his first punk band, ‘Vicio.’ His early guitar heroes were Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Jason Becker, Michael Schenker, and Andy LaRocque. He joined Portland traditional metal band SPELLCASTER in 2013, and co-wrote and played on the albums Spellcaster (2014) and Night Hides The World (2016). He helped found SILVER TALON in 2017 after the disbanding of SPELLCASTER, and co-wrote and performed on their debut EP, Becoming A Demon (2018) and their upcoming full-length album Decadence and Decay (2021). He and his wife Meiko currently live in Portland, OR.
